My Favourite Disney Movies

Today I wanted to do a happy go lucky style of post. It’s a Monday, most of us are probably feeling that Monday feeling and what better way than to put some pixiedust into someone’s day than a Disney post right?!

So with that in mind I wanted to let you all know what some of my favourite Disney movies were. Obviously I will be dying to hear what all your favourites are too, so lets delve straight in!

Mary Poppins

Mary Poppins is my favourite Disney film. Since I can remember I have been watching this film and I still watch it numerous times now. When I was little both my nan and my mum had it recorded for me and I would literally wear the tapes out!

Pinocchio was another film that I watched as a child and I adored it. It’s now one of my son’s favourite Disney films and one that I feel doesn’t get mentioned as much as the more popular films!

The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid was released in 1989, which made me 4 and thus it ended up being the first Disney Princess film that was out since I was born. The soundtrack is amazing and it’s about mermaids…you can’t really ask for much more.

Alice in Wonderland

It’s wacky, it’s colourful, it’s cheerful and I loved reading the book. They also happen to be (in my personal opinion) the most fun characters to meet at a Disney park. The mad hatter will have you in stitches!

Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast is a flawless film. Honestly, the soundtrack screams epic and as a little girl I related so much to Belle, she was a book worm, I was a book worm. Most importantly I feel that it sends out an important message that look’s aren’t everything and that when you have a heart and a soul, it shines through anything.

Other notable favourites are;

Wreck it Ralph

Sleeping Beauty

Swiss Family Robinson

Bedknobs and Broomsticks

Lady and The Tramp

The Aristocats

The Rescuers

I hope this post brought a little sparkle to your day and perhaps it’ll even encourage you to watch a few of these movies!

As I said before I would love to hear what your favourites are, so be sure to let me know down in the comments below!

Claire xoxo

Mary Poppins was my favourite Disney film! Pretty sure that’s all I watched when I was little and wearing the VCR out too. It was very closely followed by Beauty and the Beast! Some great picks here – I love a good Disney movie! x

When I was a little girl I was all about the animal movies rather than the princess films. Although I did love Beauty & the Beast. The Lion King was my favourite, I loved The Jungle Book, and The Fox and the Hound. Basil the Great Mouse Detective is the most underrated Disney movie in my opinion – loved it, and The Sword in the Stone

  3. I love this post! These are some amazing Disney films! I don’t think I can chose just one film… There’s soo many I like!! I love Mulan, Lilo & Stitch and Pocahontas!
