The Importance Of Writing

Writing. It’s such a powerful tool. Sometimes I don’t think I realise just how important writing is. One night recently when I was trying to sleep (because lets face it, when you’re trying to sleep is when you think of the most random things ever) I suddenly thought to myself….wow writing is such a powerful thing. It has the ability to draw people in, to transport people to a whole different world and above all it helps people.

I adore writing, it’s the reason why I started blogging. But more then anything it helped me put down how I was feeling, not only that but to me its therapeutic, almost calming. Something can be bugging me and the best way for me to feel better is to write it down and get all those frustrations out of my system. It’s not only blogging though when it come’s to writing, there’s alot of other things out there related to writing.

Books

One of the most important things you can do with writing is writing a book. So many blogger friend’s of mine have books out or are in the middle of writing books and honestly I couldn’t be prouder of them getting their story out there. But then you have  Fiction books. Those books that you get so deep into that you’re thinking about it for hours, you wish that you lived in that life/land and at the end you’re wishing for more and more content. To have the ability to do that to millions of people is so powerful.

Stationery

We all need tools for our writing, so in a sense Stationery contributes to our writing in a huge way. I am a sucker for everything Stationery, I have way too much for it. But I love planning, organising and having fancy new notebooks. I mean everyone needs a new notebook everytime a new event needs planning right?

Music

Music is written. The music we listen to has been wrote by someone and those lyrics we can’t get out of our head have been written too. Music to me is important. One song can trigger a thousand memories, a thousand good memories that makes you feel amazing and happy. Prop’s to those people who do write music because with your writing and musical skills you have given me joy and happiness.

Scripts

I guess in a roundabout kind of way Scripts are like books. Except it’s wrote in a line form. Again it’s all about people using the power of writing to draw us into this world of Film and T.V and it gets us talking and it also has the power to bring out our emotions, to make us cry (I’m looking at you Disney) and to make us laugh. Where would be without our favourite films, T.V shows and above all else…Netflix!

What I’m trying to say is, Writing is huge, Writing is a tool and it’s a tool more people should be using. A tool that can be used to spread happiness, lift people, to show people that they aren’t alone and a tool to create memories.

Writing Is important, so let’s embrace that.

Loved this post – certainly an example of powerful writing! It just amazes me that everything we read is made up from the same 26 letters just repeated over and over in different patterns
